Economy

Barrington has a rather diverse economy. Many of the residents of Barrington work in management and professional occupations, as well as in sales. Education and health services are also driving factors for the economy of Barrington, and a small portion of the population works in manufacturing. Most of the residents work for private companies versus government jobs, although the government does have a strong presence in Barrington.

Education

Considered to be one of the top school districts in the state, Barrington School District consists of four elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school.
